SmartLF SCi scanners have a large, easy-to use staging platform that accepts documents for scanning face-upwards. Specifically designed to auto-detect the size of documents placed in the center of the scanner, documents can be loaded and prepared for scanning in just a few seconds. Documents conforming to standard drawing sheet sizes (manual mode) can be placed in the center or to the side depending on the choice of software. Magnetic paper guides are also provided ot make positioning easier. SCi 36 scanners have a maximum media width of 38” (965mm) and are able to scan documents and maps up to a thickness of 0.08″ (2 mm).
Unlike scanners using staggered sensors SmartLF SCi benefits from a simplified pressure roller arrangement to ensure that the document always stays in contact with the optics. The rollers either side of the scan line and the active soft pressure roller running the length of the SingleSensor are all motor driven allowing the scanner to dynamically respond and actively work against optical disturbances caused by creases and uneven documents. This unique technology ensures that delicate or fragile media such as newspaper and old blueprints can be safely and accurately scanned without problem.
SmartLF SCi 36 uses a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 digital interface that allows the scanner to work at full speed on full width documents or to scan smaller documents at higher resolutions more quickly. Improved productivity is easy to achieve with the time-saving innovations built into every Colortrac I series scanner.
